PEN Awards Annual Scholarship to Marshall Grad

PEN awarded its annual Rodney E. Goodwin Memorial Scholarship to Mariana Moreno-Jones, who graduated from PUSD’s Marshall Fundamental Secondary School last month. She will attend the University of California, Merced where she plans to major in English. Mariana will be the first in her family to attend college.

Mariana is the 8th recipient of PEN’s scholarship. She is pictured with (from left) PEN Executive Director Nancy Rose Dufford, Alberto Torres, and Carlos Carrillo, who conceived of and supports the scholarship.
