The Community Advisory Committee for Special Education will meet on February 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This meeting takes place virtually. Check back for agenda and link to participate.
The CAC is comprised of parents, community, and staff volunteers who are interested in promoting positive educational change for students receiving special education services. The group functions as a liaison between the families receiving special education services and the district, advising the district on the development of its Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Local Plan and Annual Services and Budget Plans. The CAC recommends annual priorities to be addressed by the plan, assists in parent education, the recruitment of parents and other volunteers, encourages community involvement, and supports activities on behalf of students with exceptional needs.
