LCAP Parent Mixer

  • Washington Elementary STEM Magnet 1520 North Raymond Ave. Pasadena, CA, 91101 United States (map)

PUSD parents, caregivers, and community partners are invited to an “LCAP Mixer” at Washington STEM Magnet on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about how the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) supports students, ask questions, and offer feedback on district priorities. Dinner, childcare, and translation will be provided to create a relaxed and welcoming space where participants can connect, learn, and share their voices.

The mixer will help build relationships across parent groups and ensure that parent input continues to play an important role in shaping decisions that support student success across the district. Parent leaders from all school sites are encouraged to participate.

“LCAP” stands for Local Control Accountability Plan, and PAC stands for Parent Advisory Committee. LCAP PAC meetings are public, and a great place to learn more about how our schools are funded and how those funds are spent. To learn more about the LCAP, check out this parent-friendly LCAP overview, put together by former LCAP-PAC Chair Lily Bartenstein!
