The Pasadena Martin Luther King Jr. Community Coalition celebrates the legacy of Dr. King at the 2026 King Day Celebration, to be held on Monday, January 19 in the John Muir High School Auditorium. The theme of this year’s free event is “Resilience and Renewal: Social Justice, Equality, and Community Empowerment.” A Teach-In starts at 8:30 AM and the main program begins at 10 AM. This year’s featured speaker will be California State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez, and will feature performances by the Willard Rising Stars and the John Muir High School Choir.
