Volunteer info sessions are scheduled this week for PUSD’s Math Power Hour (MPH), an educator-driven, volunteer-fueled program designed to make a critical difference for the large number of children struggling with the basic foundations of math starting in the first and second grades. If you can commit as little as one hour a week, you can make a lifelong difference for children in our community! Complete this (very brief) questionnaire and try to attend one of two information sessions: Wed., Aug. 28 at 9:00 AM or Thur., Aug. 29 at 6:00 PM, both at Pacific Oaks College, 55 W. Eureka Street, Pasadena. Volunteers will receive a half-day of professional training, tentatively scheduled for the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 16.
