PEN offers various online discussion groups to help parents network with each other. Whether you are the parent of a pre-school aged child exploring your public school options, contemplating the transition to middle school, or a parent leader who would like to exchange ideas with parent leaders throughout the Pasadena Unified School District, PEN online discussion groups can help you connect. Not a member of the Pasadena Education Network? You do not have to join PEN to participate in one of our discussion groups, but to keep the discussions as well-informed as possible, we encourage you to become a member of PEN. There is no fee to join, and PEN members receive the weekly e-bulletin, PEN News, which includes regular updates about PEN events, school tours, parent coffees, etc., PLUS timely updates about PUSD board meetings, Open enrollment deadlines, and other District news.
Pasadena Education Network (PEN) Middle School Discussion group is a moderated online discussion for families that are exploring their middle school options in Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD). The Pasadena Education Network (PEN) Parent Leader Exchange is a moderated online discussion group for parent volunteer leaders to exchange ideas and share information related to parent leadership and involvement at the school site and at the District level. Any PUSD parent is welcome to take part in this discussion, but our focus is on providing a forum for PTA officers and committee chairs and members of school site and district advisory councils (Site Council, ELAC, CAC, etc.) to share and learn from each other's experiences, so that we can all be more effective on behalf of our schools, our District, and all of our kids.
