» PEN's 2nd Annual Wine Tasting

The Pasadena Education Network celebrated another successful year at our 2nd Annual Wine Tasting. Held at redwhite+bluezz in Old Pasadena, guests enjoyed reds and whites, delicious food, live jazz and a silent auction filled with priceless items.

We honored George Brumder and Audrey Durden as excellent role models for how volunteers can positively impact our public schools so all children benefit.

Brumder is a retired lawyer and civic and community leader. He serves as President of the Pasadena Educational Foundation, has been a long-time member of numerous Boards of Directors, and is a tireless public school advocate.

Durden is a Pasadena Unified School District parent who has been an active volunteer in numerous capacities. She served as President of the District’s PTA Council in addition to volunteering at school sites. She is a example of how parents can effectively partner with their schools and the district to benefit all children.

Sponsors of the event were the California Community Foundation, Beth Gertmenian, Larry & Petite Morrison, Joe & Marge Wyatt, John & Ida Hitchcock, Ryan & Asma Jasmine George, and Assemblymember Anthony Portantino.

Special thanks to red, white+bluezz and our event team.
